Volunteer Opportunities


The programs of Mar Vista Family Center (MVFC) are based on a Shared Responsibility Model, in which members of the community and other volunteers work together to provide educational and enrichment opportunities. MVFC welcomes those who would like to help make a difference.

Opportunities


Volunteer opportunities exist throughout the year and include:
  • Tutoring (Elementary through High School)
  • Mentoring
  • Pre-Teen Boys and Girls Groups
  • Dance
  • Music
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Sports
  • Community Café (preparing and serving meals)
  • Community Cleanups
  • Fundraising
  • ESL Teachers
  • Computer Instructors
  • Office Work
If you are interested in volunteering in any of our programs, please review and complete the Volunteer Packet( Volunteer Interest Form, Photo Release Form, Volunteer Policies, and Liability Release Form). Completed packets will be accepted at any orientation date listed below or by email to Bart Evans. Volunteer forms can also be filled out online here.

Training

Before volunteers begin working at MVFC they are required to attend an orientation, where they will learn more about the Shared Responsibility Model and how to implement it. For more information contact Bart Evans.
